Discovery Flights
Fee: $100.00
Ever wondered what it feels like to fly an airplane? A Discovery Flight with DeAero puts you in the pilot’s seat with a certified instructor by your side. You’ll take the controls, learn the basics of flight, and experience the thrill of seeing the world from above. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and excitement. It’s more than a ride; it’s the beginning of your aviation journey.
Flight Instruction
Rate: $60/hr
DeAero’s flight instruction is designed to take you from your first lesson through advanced training with personalized guidance every step of the way. Our certified instructors combine real-world expertise with proven methods to help you master the fundamentals of flight, navigation, and safety. With flexible scheduling and tailored lesson plans, we make it easier to pursue your dream of becoming a pilot at your own pace.
Private Pilot Certificate
Approximate Cost: $10,500
Take the first major step in your aviation journey and get your Private Pilot Certificate. Save money and have fun while gaining the skills, knowledge, and experience to fly recreationally, carry passengers, and take cross-country trips. Training begins with hands-on stick-and-rudder time in our Aeronca Champ before transitioning to the efficient Cessna 150, ensuring you build strong fundamentals and confidence in the cockpit.
Requirements: FAR § 61.109
– Minimum of 40 hours of flight training
– Pass the FAA Knowledge Test
– Pass the FAA Practical Test (Checkride)
Instrument Rating
Approximate Cost: $10,000
Take your piloting skills to the next level and get your Instrument Rating with DeAero. This additional rating makes you a safer, more capable pilot by allowing you to fly under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) in low-visibility conditions. Through expert instruction, you’ll gain valuable cross-country experience, learn how to handle adverse weather, and master air traffic control (ATC) procedures with confidence.

– Minimum of 40 hours of instrument time
– Pass the FAA Knowledge Test
– Pass the FAA Practical Test (Checkride)
Commercial Pilot Certificate
Maneuvers Training/Checkride Prep Approximate Cost: $5,000

Tailwheel Endorsement
Approximate Cost: $1,550
Sharpen your stick-and-rudder skills and get your Tailwheel Endorsement. Flying a tailwheel aircraft demands precision, especially during takeoff and landing, making it an excellent way to strengthen your piloting fundamentals. Train with our experienced instructors in the Aeronca Champ and gain confidence in handling a classic taildragger.
Biennial Flight Review/Instrument Proficiency Check

Stay current and proficient with a BFR or IPC. DeAero offers flight reviews and proficiency checks in our Cessna 150 or in your own airplane. Our certified instructors ensure you meet FAA requirements while refreshing essential skills and building confidence for continued flying.
